Q-10

                                  Ramzan Quiz

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ

10. "My Lord, indeed my son is of my family; and indeed, Your promise is true; and You are the most just of judges!" [11:45]. Who is that father?

Answer: Nuh (AS)

And We certainly sent Nuh (AS) to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years (29:14). When he invited his people to faith, they responded with extreme arrogance by putting their fingers in their ears and covering themselves with their garments to avoid hearing or seeing him. Then verily, he called to them openly; appealed to them in private but all his calling  added nothing but to (their) flight (from the truth). (71:5 & 9)

They said: “O Nuh (AS)! You have disputed with us and much have you prolonged the dispute with us, now bring upon us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful. (11:32 & 33)

So Allahuthala asked Nuh (AS) to construct a ship under His inspiration and guidance. (11:37). As he finished, he embarked each (male and female) in each kind of two and his family and eigty believers Nuh (AS). By Allah's Command the oven gushed forth from the earth, water poured from sky and the ship sailed with Allah's Command amidst the waves like mountains. Nuh (AS) called out to his son, who had separated himself (apart), “O my son! Embark with us and be not with the wrong doers.” (11:42)

The son replied: “I will betake myself to a mountain, it will save me from the water.” Nuh (AS) said: “This day there is no saviour from the Decree of Allah except him on whom He has mercy.” And a wave came in between them, so he (the son) was among the drowned. (11;43)

Nuh (AS) called upon his Lord and said, “O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true, and You are the Most Just of the judges.” (11:45)

All Knower Allah said: “O Nuh (AS)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorants.” (11:46).

Nuh (AS) repented much to Allah invoking Him: “O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers.” (11:47)

الحمدلله
