11. Which are the two verses of the Holy Quran give explanation to this picture?
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ
Answer:
مَرَجَ
ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
○ بَيْنَهُمَا
بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَان [Ar-Rahaman,55:19 & 20]
“He has let loose the two seas meeting together. Between them is the barrier
which none of them can transgress” (Ar Rahaman, 55: 19 & 20).
[Al Furqan, 25:53]
“And it is He who has set free the two seas one is palatable and sweet and the
other is salty and bitter; and He has set a barrier and a complete partition
between them” (Al Furqan, 25:53)
In the Gulf of Alaska, the heavy sediment laden water from Glaciers and rivers
pour into the open ocean. One is light colored, less dense, mineral rich and
sediment laden and other is dark blue with high salinity content.
The temperatures of two waters are also different. Due to these differences
they never mix, even in depth but their intersecting borders are not static.
Similarly,
● In the northern Jutland Denmark, the Baltic Sea and North Sea meet marking a
line of white foam.
● The Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean show such partition in Cape Agulhas.
● The Atlantic Ocean meets with the Mediterranean Sea at Gibralter with such
barrier.
● Such barrier and partition zone is deduced when any river flows into the sea
but cannot be seen by human eye.
For men of understanding these are indeed the signs of Allah. “Those who
remember Allah standing, sitting and lying down on their sides and think deeply
about the creation of the heavens and the earth (say): "Our Lord! You have
not created this without purpose, glory be to You. Give as salvation from the
punishment of Fire." (Al-Imran, 3:191).
Allah says, "Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated the
creation and then Allah will bring forth the creation of the Hereafter. Verily
Allah is able to do all things." (Al-Ankabut, 29:20). “So glorify with
praises the name of your Lord, the Greatest!” (Al-Waqiah, 56:96).
الحمدلله
