3. Quran verse and the related hadith:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَاِنْ تَعُدُّوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ لَا تُحْصُوْهَا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَـغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ

If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Al Quran, 16:18).

Allahuthala has blessed us with innumerable, countless favours for mankind on the Earth - in Oceans, Mountains, Rivers, Roads, Sky, Stars, Plants, Animals and other fellow Being. But man

★ neglect to notice them, as favours,

★ think that he got those favours due to his intelligence and hard work,

★ take them as granted,

★ is ungrateful and do not thank for those favours,

★ become greedy to get more, forgetting Allah Himself

★ become proud, authoritative and arrogant,

★ does not share them to others,

★ become stingy, faithless and rebellious.

Allahuthala does not punish him immediately, but gives him respite, for He is Forgiving and Compassionate" But if a man repents and turns to Him in obedience, and strives to do that which pleases Him. He is Merciful to man and does not punish man if he turns to Him and repents.”

Abu Huraira  (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (SAW) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: I live in the thought of My servant and I am with him as he remembers Me. (The Holy Prophet [SAW]) further said: By Allah, Allah is more pleased wth the repentance of His servant than what one of you would do on finding the lost camel in the waterless desert. When he draws near Me by the span of his hand. I draw near him by the length of a cubit and when he draws near Me by the length of a cubit. I draw near him by the length of a fathom and when he draws near Me walking I draw close to him hurriedly. [Sahih Muslim 2675 h]
