Arafath Mountain

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ

Located 20km east of Mecca in Saudi Arabia is the Mount Arafat (Jabal ar-Rahmah), the "Mountain of Mercy," It was a place where Adam and Eve reunited on Earth. It was the site where  our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gave his Farewell Sermon. It is of utmost significant during Hajj, missing this climax stage invalidated hajj.

On the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah (the Day of Arafath) Pilgrims stand from noon until sunset, listening to the Khutbah, doing Zikr, repenting and asking for forgiveness and blessings. It was a profound symbol of equality, where over a million Muslims stand together, stripped of world status and worship.
