8. Quran and Hadith [Q & H]: Ayathul kursi: The Verse of the Throne, the related Ahadith:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: O Abu' al-Mundhir, do you know the verse from the Book of Allah which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: Allah and His Messenger (SAW) know best. He again said: Abu'l-Mundhir, do you know the verse from the Book of Allah which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. Thereupon he touched me on my chest and said: May knowledge be pleasant for you, O Abu'l-Mundhir!” [Sahih Muslim, 810]

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (AS) said, “Everything has a summit, and the summit of the Qur’an is Surah al-Baqarah. It contains a verse which is the chief of the Qur’an, the verse of the Throne.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2878)

Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported: Allah’s Messenger (SAW) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramaḍān. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the provisions. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah’s Messenger!" Then Abu Hurayrah described the whole incident and said: That person said (to me), "Please don’t take me to Allah’s Messenger and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you. When you go to your bed, recite Āyat al-Kursī,

for then there will be (with you) a guardian from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Shaithan will not be able to come near you till dawn."

When the Prophet (SAW) heard about the incident he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; it was a devil." [Sahih al-Bukhari, 5010]

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: “Whoever reads Āyatul Kursī at the end of (after) each mandatory prayer, nothing prevents him from entering paradise except death.” [Sunan an-Nasāʾī al-Kubrā, no. 9848, and al-Ṭabarānī, no. 7532, al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ lil-Ṭabarānī 8068]

Narrated Abu Mas'ud (RA) : The Prophet (SAW) said,"  “Whoever says this when he rises in the morning will be protected from devils until he retires in the evening, and whoever says it when retiring in the evening will be protected from them until he rises in themorning.” (Al-Hakim 1: 562)

Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (SAW) as saying: "Do not make your houses as graveyards. Shaithan runs away from the house in which Surah Baqara is (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 780)

Thus it is:

the greatest verse in the Qur’an,

a means of protection from harm,

a means of ruqya (spiritual protection from jinn, evil eye, and magic),

and a means through which people enter paradise.
