5. Ramzan Quiz.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة   

 بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ

5. Name the six prophets, who are from the same family lived one after another or at the same time.

Answer: Ibrahim (AS), Lut (AS), Ismail (AS), Ishaq (AS), Yaqub (AS) and Yusuf (AS).

Explanation:

■ Lut (AS) is the cousin of Ibrahim (AS).

■ Ismail (AS) and Ishaq (AS) are the sons of Ibrahim (AS).

■ Yaqub (AS) is the son of Ishaq (AS).

■ Yusuf (AS)  is the son of Yaqub (AS)

Ibrahim (AS) flee from his people along with Lut (AS) and his wife Bibi Sara from Bobyloan:

"And Lut (believed in Him [Ibrahim (AS)] and he said: "I am fleeing to my Lord, surely He is the Mighty, the Wise." (29:26).

Ibrahim (AS)'s prayer:

Ibrahim (AS) was highly anxious about his off-spring. He prayed for a righteous child. Allah gave him Ismail (AS).

“When his Lord tried Ibrahim with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: "Surely I will make you an Imam of men." Ibrahim (AS) said: "And of my offspring?" 'My covenant does not include the unjust', said He." (2:124).

He and along with his son Ismail (AS) was praying after building Kaba: "Our Lord! And raise up in them Messengers from among them who shall recite to them Your communications and teach them the Book and the wisdom, and purify them; surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise." [2:129]

Allah answered his prayer by giving Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from the progeny of Ismail and bestowed Quran.

Allahuthala gave good news to Ibrahim (AS) through angels that he will be given a son through Sara:

The angels said: "surely we give you the good news of a boy [Ishaq (AS)], possessing knowledge." (15:53). 

“And We gave him Ishaq (AS) and Yaqub (AS), a son's son, and We made (them) all good.” (21:72). “Allah gave them prophet hood and the book to remain in his seed, and We gave him his reward in this world, and in the hereafter he will most surely be among the good.” (29:27). From the progeny of Ishaq (AS), Musa (AS) and Isa (AS) were born. And they were given Taurath and Injeel respectively.

See how Allah Subhahanahuthala answered his prayer by giving Prophets, Prophet hood and Book to his offspring and eternal reward of Paradise, that near Him. (i.e. Seventh heaven)
