السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ

3. Which surah in the Noble Quran has the highest number of oaths sweared by Allahuthala?

Answer: Ash- Shams. There are 11 solemn oaths sworn by Allah

وَ الشَّمْسِ وَ ضُحٰىهَا (1) وَ الْقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰىهَا (2) وَ النَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰىهَا (3) وَ الَّیْلِ اِذَا یَغْشٰىهَا (4) وَ السَّمَآءِ وَ مَا بَنٰىهَا (5) وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَا طَحٰىهَ ا(6) وَ نَفْسٍ وَّ مَا سَوّٰىهَا (7) فَاَلْهَمَهَا فُجُوْرَهَا وَ تَقْوٰىهَا (8) قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكّٰىهَا (9) وَ قَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسّٰىهَا (10)

Translation:

1.And by the sun and its brightness; 2. And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); 3. And by the day as it shows up (the sun’s) brightness; 4. And by the night as it conceals it (the sun); 5. And by the heaven and Him Who built it; 6. And by the earth and Him Who spread it, 7. And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion.And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; 8. Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him; 9. Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds).10. And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allah has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism or by following polytheism, etc. or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds).

The oaths are: 

1. Sun

2. Moon

3. Day

4. Light

5. Heaven

6. Earth

7. Nafs - soul and the One Who propotioned him,

8. Fujur - Who clarified Evil

9. Thaqwa -  from Good

10. Dhakkaha - Who purifies the soul to be successful

11. And Who corrupts soul to be failed.

 

The philosophy of Allahuthala taking an oath in the names of His creatures is,

● to believe and trust Him,

● to affirm the reality and reliability of truth He says,

● to know the seriousness and authenticity of His statements,

● to strengthen His statements,

● to make the believers to think, to research and to strengthen their faith,

● to make the disbelievers, not to deny His commandments,

● and to perceive a man's submissive position in front of His Sublime Creator.

Allah has the great wisdom in swearing by something that are signals of great importance, so that human beings can pay attention to its greatness, its importance, its benefit, its secret etc. It is a Quranic style of educating His

■ uniqueness,

■ nobility,

■ traits,

■ oneness,

■ power of creation,

■ complete designing,

■ skillful planning,

■ flawless maintenance of every thing

■ the Last Day and

■ Resurrection.
