 திருக்குர்ஆனில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது: “எனவே, (வேதனை வரும்போது) ஓர் ஊர் (மக்கள்) நம்பிக்கைக் கொண்டு, அதனுடைய நம்பிக்கை அதற்குப் பயனளித்ததாக இருக்கக் கூடாதா? (அவ்வாறு எந்த ஊரும் இருக்கவில்லை!) யூனுஸின் சமுதாயத்தாரைத் தவிர; அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டபோது, இவ்வுலக வாழ்வில் இழிவுபடுத்தும் வேதனையை அவர்களைவிட்டும் நாம் அகற்றினோம்; சிறிதுகாலம் சுகம் அனுபவிக்க செய்தோம்.” (10:98).
