Hajj Q and A:
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ
3. What best provision Allah asked you to take, while you are going for Hajj?
Answer: "And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah. And fear Me, O men of understanding."(2:197)
Some people from Yemen did not used to take provisions with them when travelling for Hajj and they used to rely on others and start begging for food as they reached Madhina. Allah commanded that provisions should be taken by pilgrims and that they should be well-prepared for the journey.
In Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 26, Hadith 598 recorded by Ibn `Abbas (RA) proclaims: "The people of Yemen used to come for Hajj and used not to bring enough provisions with them and used to say that they depend on Allah. On their arrival in Madhina they used to beg the people, and so Allah revealed, "And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is the fear of Allah." (2.197).
Those who are going for Hajj prepare themselves physically, physiologically, mentally and spiritually. Learn the whole process of Hajj, the 'dos' 'dont dos' by reading books, attending lectures from experienced persons. Memorize thalbia. Start the journey with the intention to perform Hajj well.
Entering into the state of ihram, with a good intension, pleasing Allah, to fulfil His commandment and to submit fully to His will. To earn extra rewards, making dua for the parents and the near and dear ones. When you pray for a person in their absence, the angels will pray for you.
Be confident that Allah will listen to and accept the du’as. Repent and ask forgiveness for you and your near and dear. Know that He is able to do all things and He promised to accept the prayers of those who call unto Him.
Thank Allahuthala for the opportunity given and show gratitude to all those who helped you and pray for forgiveness.
Be patient for the discomfort of the journey in a hot, crowded place, in getting food and stay, spending long hours in praying. Always be aware, Allah will test your thaqwa during this journey.
Develop helping tendency. Help as far as you can to the needy. Do as much good you can.
Willingly show change to have good attitude, good character, intense worship to please your Creator to Whom you are going back.
