4. Ramzan Quiz
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتة
4. From the knowledge of hadhees Qudsi, say which is
the cloak and the robe of Allahuthala?
Qud means himself. A hadhees told by Allahuthala himself using first person - 'I', 'My' is called hadhees qudsi.
Answer:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), who narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: "Pride is my cloak and greatness (Majesty) My robe, and he who competes with Me in respect of either of them I shall cast into Hell-fire." [40 Hadith Qudsi, Hadith 19]
Explanation:
Pride in human being is an excessive feeling of himself, while greatness refers to talent, wealth, his high status or power.
Majesty and Pride are two attributes exclusive to Allah. Nobody likes to share the cloak and lower garment he wears with anybody else. Allah, the Almighty, made these two unique attributes inherent in Him. They cannot be ascribed to anyone besides Allah. Anyone who claims power and pride for himself will be punished by Allah, the Almighty and will be thrown into Hell.
Allah will humiliate him bring him down among the lowest of the low. 'Amr bin Shu'aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather from the Prophet ﷺ who said:
"The proud will be gathered on the Day of
Judgement resembling tiny particles in the image of men. They will be covered
with humiliation everywhere, they will be dragged into a prison in Hell called
Bulas, submerged in the Fire of Fires, drinking the drippings of the people of
the Fire, filled with derangement." [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2492].
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ
لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًۭا فَخُورًا
Allah does not like those who are arrogant, proud.
(4:36).
So many persons are mentioned in the Quran how pride, arrogance, status, wealth lead them to Hell. Firaun, the Pharah of Egypt because of all these features:
● Drowned in the sea
● Fire is shown morning and evening in his Barzak.
(Life in the grave)
● Drivened on the Day of judgement to Hell without
accounting or questioning.
Man has to realize the Superiority of Allah Subhanahuthala. It is a warning to mankind from Allah, not to be arrogant and proud with the power, status, wealth or talent gifted by Allah.
الحمدلله
