31. Fill up the dotted line with appropriate words:
Answer: In sha Allah, which means "if Allah wills") أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ)
On seeing Muhammad ﷺ rising
as Prophet and spreading Islam fastly, the idolators and Quarysh send two men
(Nadr ibn Harith & Uqbah ibn Abi Muayt) to Madina to get clarification from the Jew Scholars
(Rabbies) about his Prophet hood.
They told, "Put three questions before him. If he answers them correctly,
he is the Messenger of Allah. If he fails he is a pretender, not a messenger."
1. "Ask him" said the Rabbies "of some youth who were of old,
what was their fate, for they have a strange story."
2. "Ask him of much travelled man who reached the sun rise regions of the
earth and the sun set regions, what was his history?"
3. "Ask him of the Spirit, what it is?"
On hearing this the Quarysh said: "It was to be a crucial test to his
Prophet hood." So they presented these questions to the Prophet (ﷺ).
He told surely he would answer tomorrow without adding the word "In sha
Allah".
Since he forgot to tell, "In sha Allah" the revelation was withheld
for fifteen days during which the Quraysh started abusing him. That was really
painful to the Holy Prophetﷺ) ) ,so much, that, he cannot do his
daily routine.
When the Jibreel (AS) came with full Khahaf surah with verses 23 and 24
mentioning “to say "In sha Allah", "And remember your Lord when
you forget and say: It may be that my Lord guides me to the nearest way of
truth than this." (18:23 & 24).
The answers concerning the "Ashab-al-Kahaf" and
"Dhul-Qarnain" must have been considered satisfy- ing and silencing
the Quraysh and Jews. It also proved the truth, from the rabbanical false story
of Dhul- Qarnain as the "Two Horned One". (Ibn Hisham, Part 1, 102
& 103)
The 3rd question's answer about Ruh is brief in the surah Al Isra. "And
they ask you (O Muhammad (ﷺ) concerning the
Ruh (the Spirit); Say: "The Ruh: it is one of the things, the knowledge of
which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given
only a little."
If persons like Nabi (ﷺ) are punished for this, not mentioning “in sh allah” how much
punishment will be waiting for us. Asthagsf-urullah! Allah only has to save us
from our negligence!
This word is very often used in, almost all, the Muslim countries. In certain situations,
it is misused. Some used this word to mean "may be" or to mean
"probably no" or to mean "I´m not sure to do this." Even
those who are hearing this ask, "whether you do it or not" or
"Are you sure that will you do it?" They want the surety. Who can be
sure about future (even the next second) except Allah?
A true believers must say/take this word in a true sense or in a positive way.
"If Allah wills I will do it"
