2. Do you know with how many Quranic
verses advised us to ‘Put trust in Allah’:
السلام عليكم
ورحمة الله وبركاتة
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ
Allah
says in the Mighty Quran:
[8:2] The believers are only those who, when Allah is
mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur'an) are
recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put
their trust in their Lord (Alone);
[29:58] And those who believe and do righteous good
deeds, to them We shall surely give lofty dwellings in Paradise, underneath
which rivers flow, to live therein forever. Excellent is the reward of the
workers. 59. Those who are patient, and put their trust (only) in their Lord
(Allah).
[5:11] O you who believe! Remember the Favour of Allah
unto you when some people desired (made a plan) to stretch out their hands
against you, but (Allah) withheld their hands from you. So fear Allah. And in
Allah let believers put their trust.
[64:12] Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ),
but if you turn away, then the duty of Our Messenger is only to convey (the
Message) clearly. 13. Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be
worshipped but He), and in Allah (Alone), therefore, let the believers put
their trust.
[33: 47] And announce to the believers the glad tidings,
that they will have from Allah a Great Bounty. 48. And obey not the
disbelievers and the hypocrites, and harm them not (till you are ordered). And
put your trust in Allah, and Sufficient is Allah as a Wakil (Trustee, or
Disposer of affairs).
[42:36] So whatever you have been given is but a passing
enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is
better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord
(concerning all of their affairs).
[3:159] And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them
gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away
from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for
them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put
your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).
160. If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is
there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their
trust.
[6:41] And as for those who emigrated for the Cause of
Allah, after suffering oppression, ‘We’ will certainly give them goodly
residence in this world, but indeed the reward of the Hereafter will be
greater, if they but knew! 42. (They are) those who remained patient (in this
world for Allah's sake), and put their trust in their Lord (Allah Alone).
[8:49] When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was
a disease (of disbelief) said: "These people (Muslims) are deceived by
their religion." But whoever puts his trust in Allah, then surely, Allah
is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
[16:99] Verily! Shaitan, the outcast has no power over
those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah).
[58:10] Secret counsels (conspiracies) are only from
Shaitan (Satan), in order that he may cause grief to the believers. But he
cannot harm them in the least, except as Allah permits, and in Allah let the
believers put their trust.
Allah commanded to His Prophet ﷺ and his believers to put
trust in Allah:
11:123. And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the
heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship
Him (O Muhammad ﷺ and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is not unaware of
what you (people) do."
[25: 58] And put your trust (O Muhammad ﷺ) in the Ever
Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the
All-Knower of the sins of His slaves;
[33: 1] O Prophet (Muhammad ﷺ)! Keep your duty to Allah,
and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites (i.e., do not follow their
advices). Verily! Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise. 2. And follow that which
is inspired in you from your Lord. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what
you do. 3. And put your trust in Allah, and Sufficient is Allah as a Wakil
(Trustee, or Disposer of affairs).
[26: 214] And warn your tribe (O Muhammad ﷺ) of near
kindred. 215. And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 216. Then
if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 217. And
put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful,
[27: 79] So put your trust in Allah; surely, you (O
Muhammad ﷺ) are on manifest truth. 80. Verily, you cannot make the dead to
hear, nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their
backs. 81. Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to
hear those who believe in Our Ayat, and who have submitted (themselves to
Allah).
[4:81] They say: "We are obedient," but when
they leave you (O Muhammad ﷺ), a section of them spend all night in planning
other than what you say. But Allah records their nightly (plots). So turn aside
from them), and put your trust in Allah. And Allah is Ever All-Sufficient as a
Disposer of affairs.
[39:38] And verily, if you ask them: "Who created
the heavens and the earth?" Surely, they will say: "Allah (has
created them)." Say: "Tell me then, the things that you invoke
besides Allah, if Allah intended some harm for me, could they remove His harm,
or if Allah intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His Mercy?"
Say: (O Muhammad ﷺ) "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust
(i.e. believers) must put their trust."
[42:10] And in whatsoever you differ, the decision
thereof is with Allah (He is the ruling Judge). (And say O Muhammad ﷺ to these
polytheists) Such is Allah, my Lord in Whom I put my trust, and to Him I turn
in all of my affairs and in repentance.
[9: 50] If good befalls you (O Muhammad ﷺ), it grieves
them, but if a calamity overtakes you, they say: "We took our precaution
beforehand," and they turn away rejoicing. 51. Say: "Nothing shall
ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Maula (Lord,
Helper and Protector)." And in Allah let the believers put their trust.
[67: 28] Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "Tell me! If Allah
destroys me, and those with me, or He bestows His Mercy on us, - who can save
the disbelievers from a painful torment?"29. Say: "He is the Most
Beneficent (Allah), in Him we believe, and in Him we put our trust. So you will
come to know who is it that is in manifest error."
[4: 107] And argue not on behalf of those who deceive
themselves. Verily, Allah does not like anyone who is a betrayer of his trust,
and indulges in crime.
[13:30] Thus have We sent you (O Muhammad ﷺ) to a
community before whom other communities have passed away, in order that you
might recite unto them what We have inspired to you, while they disbelieve in
the Most Beneficient (Allah) Say: "He is my Lord! La ilaha illa Huwa (none
has the right to be worshipped but He)! In Him is my trust, and to Him will be
my return with repentance."
[3:121] And (remember) when you (Muhammad ﷺ) left your
household in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle
(of Uhud). And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.122. When two parties from among
you were about to lose heart, but Allah was their Wali (Supporter and
Protector). And in Allah should the believers put their trust.
[8:60] And make ready against them all you can of power,
including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten
the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides whom, you may not know
but whom Allah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah
shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly. 61. But if
they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and (put your) trust in Allah.
Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
Other
Prophets alsotrusted Allah and preached their believers to put trust in Allah:
[10:71] And recite to them the news of Nuh (AS). When he
said to his people: "O my people, if my stay (with you), and my reminding
(you) of the Ayath of Allah is hard on you, then I put my trust in Allah. So
devise your plot, you and your partners, and let not your plot be in doubt for
you. Then pass your sentence on me and give me no respite.
[14:9] Has not the news reached you, of those before
you, the people of Nuh (AS), and 'Ad, and Thamud? And those after them? None
knows them but Allah. To them came their Messengers with clear proofs. Their
Messengers said to them: "We are no more than human beings like you, but
Allah bestows His Grace to whom He wills of His slaves. It is not ours to bring
you an authority (proof) except by the Permission of Allah. And in Allah
(Alone) let the believers put their trust. 12. "And why should we not put
our trust in Allah while He indeed has guided us our ways. And we shall
certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us, and in Allah
(Alone) let those who trust, put their trust."
[11:56] And to 'Ad people We sent their brother Hud (AS).
He said, "O my people! "I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your
Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature but He has grasp of its forelock.
Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth). 58. And when Our
Commandment came, We saved Hud (AS) and those who believed with him by a Mercy
from Us, and We saved them from a severe torment
[11: 88] Shu'aib (AS) said: "O my people! Tell me,
if I have a clear evidence from my Lord, and He has given me a good sustenance
from Himself. I wish not, in contradiction to you, to do that which I forbid
you. I only desire reform so far as I am able, to the best of my power. And my
guidance cannot come except from Allah, in Him I trust and unto Him I repent.
[7:88] The chiefs of those who were arrogant among his
people said: "We shall certainly drive you out, O Shu'aib, and those who
have believed with you from our town, or else you (all) shall return to our
religion." He said: "Even though we hate it! 7: 89 "We should
have invented a lie against Allah if we returned to your religion, after Allah
has rescued us from it. And it is not for us to return to it unless Allah, our
Lord, should will. Our Lord comprehends all things in His Knowledge. In Allah
(Alone) we put our trust. Our Lord! Judge between us and our people in truth,
for You are the Best of those who give judgment."
[60:4] Indeed there has been an excellent example for
you in Ibrahim (AS) and those with him, when they said to their people:
"Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we
have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and
hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah Alone," except the saying of
Ibrahim (AS) to his father: "Verily, I will ask for forgiveness (from
Allah) for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah."
Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in
repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return,
[10:67] And Yaqub (AS) said to his sons: "O my
sons! Do not enter by one gate, but enter by different gates, and I cannot
avail you against Allah at all. Verily! The decision rests only with Allah. In
him, I put my trust and let all those that trust, put their trust in Him."
[10:83] But none believed in Musa (Alai) except the
offspring of his people, because of the fear of Fir'aun and his chiefs, lest
they should persecute them; and verily, Fir'aun was arrogant tyrant on the
earth, he was indeed one of the Musrifun. 84. And Musa (Alai) said: "O my
people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are
Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." 85. They said: "In Allah
we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun.
86. "And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk."And Musa
(Alai) said: "O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your
trust in Him if you are Muslims."
[5:21] "O my people! Enter the holy land
(Palestine) which Allah has assigned to you, and turn not back (in flight) for
then you will be returned as losers." 22. They said: "O Musa (Moses)!
In it (this holy land) are a people of great strength, and we shall never enter
it, till they leave it; when they leave, then we will enter." 23. Two men
Yusha' and Kalab on whom Allah had bestowed His Grace said those who feared
(Allah and): "Assault them through the gate, for when you are in, victory
will be yours, and put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed."
See how many times Allah commanded in His Book to put
trust in Him. Why cannot you follow? Why to worry and fear about unnecessarily!
