Whose supplications are these?
1. "My Lord! Build for me a home with thee in the Paradise." [66:11]
Answer:
This is the supplication of Bibi Asia, the wife of the tyrant Firaun, the King of Egypt during the period of Musa (AS). She brought him up and became the sincere follower of the him. Since she followed the religion of Musa (AS) her husband tortured her much. She prayed to Allahuthala and He showed a vision of her house in the Paradise. She smiled by seeing that vision, but that smile of her made her husband to torture her more.
Allah witnessed her in the Holy Quran by saying, "Allah has set forth an example for those who believe, the wife of Fir’aun, when she said: “My Lord! Build for me a home with You in Paradise, and save me from Fir’aun and his work, and save me from the people who are Zalimun" [66:11]
2."Our Lord! Make us both fully submit to You and from our descendants a nation that will submit to You." [2:128]
Answer:
Ibrahim (AS) and his son Ismail (AS) made this supplication after raising Kabah
Ibn Jarir said, “They meant by their supplication, `Make us submit to Your command and obedience and not associate anyone with You in obedience or worship.”Also, `Ikrimah commented on the Ayah, when they said "make us submit to You". “Allah said, `I shall do that.”’
Then they said, "And of our offspring a nation submissive unto You". Allah said, `I shall do that.'”
Both of them loved to have offspring who worship Allah alone without partners. It is a sign of complete love of Allah.
Even today we are witnessing the ongoing effect of this dua - many billians worshipping Allah alone by circumbulating the house built by them.

1. Quranic Supplication of a well known Prophet that is used before Islamic lectures.
2. Supplication during the whispers of Shaithan

1. Quranic Supplication of a well known Prophet that is used before Islamic lectures.
Answer:
[Musa (AS)] said: “O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). And ease my task for me; And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) That they understand my speech, that they understand my speech, .[20:25 to28]
2. Supplication during the whispers of Shaithan
Answer:
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." [23:97 & 98].

Mention the Quranic Supplications:
1. For the parents:
Answer:
My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small." [17:24]
Next to Allah we have to consider our parents. Allah says: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. [17:23].
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small." [17:24].
2. When afflicted with calamities:
Answer:
"Indeed we belong to Allāh, and indeed to Him we will return."
"And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). [2:155].〕Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Indeed! To Allah we belong and indeed, to Him we shall return.” [2:156]
They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones. [2:156].
So treat your parents with good treatment. During calamities say this ayath and receive Mercy, blessings and forgiveness from your Lord.

Do you know this Quranic supplication?
1. Those who like to earn good in both the worlds will remember Allah much with this supplication, while completing the rituals of Hajj or Umrah.
Answer:
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
Allahuthala says for those who supplicate this dua, "For them there will be alloted a share for what they have earned. And Allah is Swift at reckoning." [2:202]
2. A supplication of a Prophet, glorifying Allah and repenting for his sin in an unique dark area.
Answer:
“The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Prophet Yunus) when he supplicated, while in the belly of the whale was: ‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors. (21:87)’ So indeed, no Muslim man supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.” [Jami at-Tirmidhi 3505]
Allahuthala says: "So We answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. And thus We do deliver the believers." [21:88].
If any body supplicate their distress along with this supplication Allahuthala respond to that immediately.

Who invoked this supplication?
Answer:
This is the supplication of Yusuf (AS) which he recited when Allah gathered all his brothers and parents in Egypt.
Explanation:
Allah saved Yusuf (AS) from his jealous brothers. To get the full attention of the father, they threw him in the well. He was brought to Egypt by a caravan, which sold him to the Aziz of Egypt for a meager price. Allahuthala taught him wisdom. He was gifted with the talent of explanation of the dreams.
Allah resqued him from cunning women, put him in prison. He was set free from the prison after several years due to explanation of King's dream. The king raised him to be incharge of grainary. Allah Subhanahuthala brought back to him his brothers twice. He was not only generous with his brothers but forgave them all. He raised his parents to throne. They all prostrated him, as it was the custom of that time.
Thus Allah made his dream true. As he saw sun, moon and the eleven stars prostrating him in his dream during his boyhood i.e. his parents and eleven brothers prostrating him.
At that time he prayed:
My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.”
We must also recite this dua’a particularly after coming out safe from all the difficulties and after attaining success in the work.

19. Do you know the supplication for strengthening the faith in our heart without any deviation?
Answer:
Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.” (3:8).
Explanation:
We must take precaution to avoid possible deviation of the mind and the heart after accepting the divine guidance. When Allah intends to guide someone, He makes his heart tilt towards what is good and right; and when He decides to let someone go astray, He turns his heart away from the straight path.
While we are In this temporary and transient world we must make preparation for the eternal life of the Hereafter.
To strengthen the faith and to remain firm in their faith, recite this dua’a can be recited in every wajib as well as sunnah salath.
Based on this Quranic supplication, Prophet Mohammad (SAW) asked frequently a dua as it was narrated by Anas bin Malik (RA) and Ummae Salma (RA)
"O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion!” [Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2140]
They asked: “O Messenger of Allah (SAW), why do you supplicate this so frequently. He said: "Verily, there is no human being except that his heart is between Two Fingers of the Fingers of Allah, so whomsoever He wills He makes steadfast, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.’”
Indeed the Messenger (SAW) said, ‘O You who make the steadfast firm, make me firm with Your firmness! O You whose oneness is unchanging, for there is no god except You, Glorified are You! Truly I have been among the wrongdoers.’ He would also say: ‘O Lord and Protector (walī) of Islam and its people, make me firm in Islam until I encounter You!’ [Sahl] said [on this matter], ‘The place of faith in God, Exalted is He, is the heart and the place of Islam is the breast, and it is subject to increase and decrease.’ [Tafsir - Sahl al-Tustari]
No one is safe from misguidance. So remember to constantly ask Allah to keep you on the straight path.
Abdullah b. Amr b. al-'As reported that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
"Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the two fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate Lord as one heart. He turns that to any (direction) He likes. Then Allahs Messenger (ﷺ) said: 0 Allah, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Thine obedience.[Sahih Muslim, 2655]
Nothing is beyond the Lord of the Worlds. The Almighty can change things in the blink of an eye. He can heal what has been hurting for years in a flash. He can forgive as He wills.

18. Mention the two supplications invoked by Ayyub (AS).
Answer:
"Verily distress has seized me and you are the Most of all those that are merciful.(21:83)
"Indeed, Shaithan has touched me with hardship and punishment." [38:41]
Explanation;
Seeing the sincerity of Ayyub (AS) in repentance, gratitude and glorification of Allah, Shaithan became jealous of him.
He used all his tricks on Ayyub (AS) to distract from but found Ayyub (AS) as a true believer least affected by his temptations.
Frustrated Iblees complained to Allahuthala and asked, “If You remove his wealth then You will find that his tongue will no longer mention Your name and his praying will stop.”
Allah told Iblis that Ayyub (AS) was one of His most sincere devotees. He did not worship Him because of the favors; his worship stemmed from his heart and had nothing to do with material things.
Ayyub (AS) said to Shaithan himself, who approached him as an old man, “What Allah has taken away from me belongs to Him. I was only its trustee for awhile. He gives to whom He wills and withholds from whom He wills.” With these words, Ayyub (AS) again prostrated to his Lord.
Ayyub (AS) was shifted from a blissful and favoured life to extreme trials in wealth, children & health.
During this shifting Ayyub (AS):
● endured it patiently;
● he does not complain about his trails;
● he kept his un-shakeable faith in Allahuthala:
● he accepted the reality;
● never drifted to self-pity;
● never had “woe is me” mentality;
● he does not live in denial;
Still he said, “You are the Most Merciful of the merciful
In his tafsir, Ibn Khathir has written as follows:
Shaithan appeared before Allah and claimed though Ayyub (AS) shows his gratitude, if his children are taken away he will reject you. Allah granted him this authority but warned him it would not reduce the faith nor his patience.
But again Ayyub (AS) disappointed him by replying: “Allah sometimes gives and sometimes takes. He is sometimes pleased and sometimes displeased with our deeds. Whether a thing is beneficial or harmful to me, I will remain firm in my belief and remain thankful to my Creator.” then Ayyub (AS) prostrated to his Lord.
At this Iblis was extremely vexed. Shaithan put some blame on the wife of Ayyub (AS) and separated her from him. She was the only helper that time. At this circumstan- ce Ayyub (AS) took a oath to punish her with 100 strokes.
He called upon Allah by saying:
“Verily distress has seized me and you are the Most of all those that are merciful". (21:83).
“So We answered his call, and we removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us.” (21:84)
In another place of Quran, it was revealed, 'And remember Our servant Ayyub (AS), when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Shaithan has touched me with hardship and punishment."'
[38:41].
Allah said to him: “Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in and cool and a refreshing drink."(38:42)
”And We gave him back his family, and along with them the like thereof as a Mercy from Us, and a reminder for those who understand.” (38:43).
Ayyub (AS) obeyed and almost immediately his good health was restored.
Meanwhile, his faithful wife could returned to him to beg his forgiveness, desiring to serve him. On entering her house, she was amazed at the sudden change: Ayyub (AS) was healthy! She embraced him and thanked Allah for His mercy.
Ayyub (AS) was now worried, for he had taken an oath to punish her with a hundred strokes if he had regained health but he had no desire to hurt her. He knew if he did not fulfill the oath, he would be guilty of breaking a promise to Allah. Therefore in His wisdom and mercy, Allah came to the assistance of His faithful servant and advised him: “take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith your wife, and break not your oath” [38:44].
Allah subhanwatawla has praised him in Quran for his patience:
“Verily, we found him patient. How excellent a slave. Indeed, he was the one repeatedly turning back to Allah” (38:44).

17. Zakaria, the care taker of Bibi Marium, was inspired by seeing her receiving sustenance directly from Allah, what invocation he made to Allah?
Answer:
“O Lord, bestow me a goodly offspring from You; verily, You are the hearer of prayer”.(3:38).
Explanarion:
Zakariyya was so much convinced with extraordinary Mercy of Allahuthala, when he witnessed Bibi Maryam receiving all kinds of fruits directly in a miraculous nature. Knowing his weakness, he too supplicated with strong faith to Him to give him a virtuous, blessed and good son.
He invoked, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy [i.e., disappointed].
And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir,
Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Yaqub (AS). And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]." [19:4 to 6].
[He was told], "O Zakariyyah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be Yahya (AS). We have not assigned to any before [this] name." [19:7]
He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when my wife has been barren and I have reached extreme old age?" [19:8]
[An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before, while you were nothing.'" [19:9]
He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." Allah said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound." [19:10]
So he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to exalt [Allah] in the morning and afternoon. [19:11].
Notice the way he supplicated for a son. He wanted a goodly son, who will please his Creator. Allah granted him Yahaya (AS) who was named uniquely by Himself. He was pure and compassionate with a wisdom from childhood. He made him to adhere to the Scriptures with determination. He was God fearing, kind to his parents abd he was neither arrogant nor disobedient. [19:12 to 14]
Allah recorded in the Holy Quran about Yahaya (AS) as: "Peace be upon him the day he was born, and the day of his death, and the day he will be raised back to life!" [19:15]
Like Ibrahim (AS) Zakariyya was gifted with the righteous son in his old age while his wife was barren. Allah will give whomever He will, boys alone, or girls alone or both mixed or make childless! [42:49, 50] He has power over all things. It is easy for Him.
That is the power of prayer. The things that are not possible, as man thinks, are possible with the answering of prayer of a righteous servant by All capable Allah (عزوجلّ)

16. "Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment." Which Prophet supplicated this dua?
Answer:
Musa (AS).
Explanation:
Pharaoh exalted himself in the land of Egypt. He oppressed the children of Israel and involved them with all kinds of hard work for mean wages.
As a precaution to prevent the birth of the boy baby who would be responsible for the downfall of his kingdom, Firaun
ordered to kill all the boy babies born to the Children of Isralites. He appointed stern men and female nurses to do this job, who carry out his orders mercilessly.
Inspite of all the precautions, Firaun took to stop the birth of the prophet, Musa (AS) was born and Allah made him to grow in his own palace.
When Musa (AS) attained his full strength, and was perfect
in manhood, Allah bestowed on him Prophet hood, right judgment of the affairs and religious knowledge.
Allahuthala commanded him and his brother Harun (AS) to go to Pharaoh and say: "Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies and turns away." (20:9-48).
But they were too proud, arrogant and unjust toward them. Even after getting signs after signs nine times from Allahuthala, Firaun and his courtiers never believed their religion and never allow others to follow it. They persecuted badly who have believed the Lord of Musa (AS) and Harun (AS). He tortured extremely his own wife because she was a believer. Allah says, "So see how was the end of those people" [7:103]
After dealing with them for a long period patiently, frustrated Musa (AS) prayed to Allah, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, Our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment." [10:88]
Allah said, "Your supplication has been answered. So remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know." [10:89]
And Allahuthala took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him and his troop. At that time Firaun said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims." [10:90]
Allahuthala asked him, "Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters? [10:91].
Allahuthala recorded in Quran, "So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you as a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs are heedless. [10:92].

15. At every night before sleeping Prophet (SAW), used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting certain verses and then rub his hands over all parts of body.
What are those verses?
Answer:
The verses of refuge from Surah Falaq and Surah Nas.
Explanarion:
Narrated ‘Ayesha (RA): Whenever the Prophet (SAW) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting the verse of Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times" [Sahih al-Bukhari, 5017, In Book 66, Hadith 39].
Ibn Al-Qayyim who really highlights the power of Surah Naas and Falaq states, “the effectiveness of these surahs is great to repel magic, evil eye, and the rest of the evils and the need for a slave to seek Allah’s protection from these two surahs is greater than his need for self, eating, drinking, and wearing dress” (Al-Fawwaid, 2/426).
The Prophet (SAW) revealed in one Sahih hadith that “Allah has revealed to me Ayaath the likes of which have not been seen". The hadith continues on to mention that the Prophet [SAW] advised “Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind…” (Surah An-Nas) until the end. “Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of Al-Falaq…” until the end of the Surat.
Together these two surahs are very powerful that it’s been given a special name called “Al mu’awwidhatayn” (Arabic: المعوذتان) meaning “the verses of refuge”.
We seek refuge to the Lord of Dawn and the Lord of humankind from :
■ the evil ofwhatever He has created;
■ the evil of the lurking whisperer, who whispers into the hearts of humankind, from among jinn and humankind;
■ the evil of those witches casting spells by blowing onto knots;
■ the evil of an envier when they envy;

14. Do you know the prayer of Ashabul Kahaf?
Wednesday, March 12, 2025
13. The angels that carry the Throne of Allahuthala and those around it, not only believe and praise their Lord but also ask forgiveness and protection for the believers. What is that supplication?
Answer:
"Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire. [40:7]
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their forefathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.[40:8]
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment." [40:9]
Explanation:
Normally the Allah's Arsh (Throne) is carried by four angels and, on the Day of Qiyamah they will be eight angels carrying His throne. Allahuthala only knows the number of angels around the arsh. They may be rows of several hundred thousands of angels called (کرّوبِی) karrubi.
We do not know whether they are appointed for praying for the good of the believers or it is their nature to pray for well being of human beings.
There is a great disparity between angels and human beings in species, station, total submission, obedience, commitment, worship and rank. In spite of these disparities angels develop a strong relationship of cherishing a common creed and faith.
As angels are intermediaries between Allah Subhanahuthala and human beings, they pray for all believers, especially who
1. Have strong Iman.
2. Do lots of good deeds.
3. Follow sunnah
4. The effort they put on their family members. (Giving right guidance, supplicating for them, giving charity for them etc.)
The angels are so earnest in their desire of well-being for the believers. They go on repeating their good wishes for them even after knowing that Allah will certainly bless them with these favors in the Hereafter.
Angels ask for forgiveness to Allah for those human beings who sincerely repented for their errors, sins, weaknesses and trangressions. They ask Allah with His infinite Mercy, to forgive them. They also pray for their protection from Hell and be saved from every evil of their own deeds and the evil consequences of the Last Day. They also ask Allah for granting the believers the Paradise which He Himself has promised them.
Said Ibn Jubayr has said, 'When a believer goes to Jannah, he will ask about his father, son, brother and others, and would want to know where they are. He will be told that their deeds were not like yours (therefore, they will not be there). He will say, 'whatever good I did (was not for me alone), in fact, it was for me and them both.' Then, the command will come, 'admit them too into the Jannah.' (Ibn Kathir)
When a person join with their families in the Hereafter their happiness becomes total and complete. Allah says: "We will join their children with them" (52:21). That is the great triumph.7⁹
When a believer is strong in faith, dutiful to his family and do good, angels will pray for his success along with his family in the Hereafter.

12. What supplication Prophet (SAW) invoked before leaving Makka during Hijra?
Answer:
My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority. [17:80]
Explanation:
While adopting, preaching and spreading Islam at Makka for 13 years, Prophet (SAW) and his followers experianced severe torture and persecution. The Quraish enemies decided to kill Prophet (SAW). His house was surrounded by the leaders of Quraish with the intention to kill him when he come out of the house. Allah, the Knower of All things, commanded his Messanger to migrate to Madinah on that night.
He took a handful sand, reciting the verses of Surah Yasin throw over his enemies, he came out of the house un-noticed. He went to Abubakr (RA)'s house, who already kept ready all the provisions of the journey.
Allahuthala asked the Holy Prophet (SAW) to make this supplication while he was leaving Makkah. In this prayer priority was given to the entry to Madhinae Munawara, as it is concerned with the safe and smooth settlement of large number of migrated Muslims.
His exit from Makkah should be also safe and smooth in all possible ways. Allahthala shielded and protected them both from the enemies at every stage they were guided through alternative but a tedious route.
Because of this prayer, taught by Allah, the Prophet (SAW) and his dearest friend Abubakr Siddiq (RA) met the challenges during hijrah with ease. His exit from the people of Makka was smooth, who were greedy to get hundred camels reward, as announced by Quraish leaders, "Whoever brings the Prophet (SAW) dead or alive get hundred camels as reward."
Thus this prayer was answered and everyone know its effects.
■ Allah helped and protected them during the journey,
■ Many embraced Islam on the way.
■ They had grand welcome with love and respect by the people of Madhina.
■ He re-entered after few years and conquired Makka with no war, blood shed and prayed in Kaba and removed all the idols from them.
■ He never took revench but forgave the people of Makka as Prophet Yusuf pardoned his brothers.
This supplication for common man:
Scholars have the alternative opinion about this supplication. It has a deeper meaning for a common Muslim. It is better to invoke for grant powerful support from the Omnipotent, by reciting this supplication regularly. Our exit (departure from this world/Resurrection from grave on the Day of Qiyama) or entry (into Burjaq - condition in the grave/or entering into the Judgement ground) will be good and successful!

11. What is the supplications, invoked for one's spouses and children?
Answer:
"Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous." [25:74]
Explanation:
The righteous servants of Allah when they hear the verses of their Lord, do not fall at them as deaf and blind ones.
They pay attention to them like sober and sensible persons, and act upon them.
Allah further says they not only submit themselves to the way of Allah, but also take efforts to improve their spouse and offspring, to follow the right path. They were so concerned about their family's faith in this world and the salvation in the Hereafter.
In Arabic language, there is an expression of "warm eyes" which a man experiances during sadness, sorrow, calamity, depression and pain. When a man is happy, healthy and peaceful his eyes become cool.
Allah says that the wealth and children are the trails for a man. When a man has righteous spouse and children that is a great gift for him from Allah.
If a man with islamic faith had a disbeliever father, son or brother he knew that if any of their loved ones die they will go to Hell. He could not be in peace knowing that his loved one was in the Fire. This is what Allah referred to in this ayath.
A righteous man as he achieved good, want to call others also to goodness. He set right his household - the spouse and children with his faith and prayer. And also like them to be Imams.
They wanted their worship to be connected to the worship of their children and offspring, and their guidance to go beyond themselves and benefit others.

10. They will say, "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers."[44:12]
Who are they? Will their supplication answered?
Answer:
The disbelievers make this supplication, when they experiances punishment in this world or in the Hell, they will ask for it to be taken away from them. But it will be denied by Allah.
Explanation:
Several ayaath in the Quran have warned the disbelievers similarly:
(14:44) And warn mankind of the Day when the torment will come unto them; then the wrongdoers will say: “Our Lord! Respite us for a little while, we will answer Your Call and follow the Messengers!” (It will be said): “Had you not sworn aforetime that you would not leave (the world for the Hereafter)".
(34:51-52) And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape, and they will be seized from a near place. And they will say (in the Hereafter): “We do believe (now);” but how could they receive (faith and its acceptance by Allah) from a place so far off…
(6:27) "If you could but see when they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will ask: “Would that we were but sent back (to the world)! Then we would not deny the Ayat of our Lord, and we would be of the believers!”
Allah (Ajj wa jall) says even when they were returned to the world they behave in the same manner:
[6:28] But if they were returned (to the world), they would certainly revert to that which they were forbidden. And indeed they are liars.
Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief] [44:15]
On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him (89:23)
And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.(23:75)
[44:13 and 14] How can there be for them an admonition, when a Messenger explaining things clearly has already come to them. Then they had turned away from him and said: “He is a madman!”
Allah, the Great and Merciful had sent them a Messenger with a clear Message and warning. Yet despite that, they turned away from him, opposed him and rejected him. They were the great losers.
The same thing happened during Prophet's time. When the stubborn Quraysh denied the truth of Islam and the Messenger of Allah [SAW] invoked Allah against them the drought and famine like that of Yusuf (AS)'s time. They became so hungry and tired that they never spared bones and dead meat as their food.
A man came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and said, “O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah to send rain to Mudar, for they are dying. So the Prophet (SAW) prayed for rain for them, and they got rain. Then the Ayah was revealed: "Verily, We shall remove the torment for a while. Verily, you will revert."

9. "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses. And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people." [5:83 and 84]
Whose supplication is this?
Explanation:
Allah Subhanahuthala addressed to the people of the Book (that is Jews and Christians) in Surah - Al - Maidha and warned them a lot about what they are doing.
Allah Suhanahuthala said:
"You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant." [5:82]
And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses. [5: 83]
And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people." [5:84]
To believing people from the people book Allah Subhanahuthala says:
Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians—whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" (2:62)
Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muḥammad (SAW)] and those who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians - those [among them] who believed in Allāh and the Last Day and did righteousness - no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. [5:69].

According to the Quran who will be reciting this dua and in which place?
Answer:
“This is the statement that the believers will say on the Day of Resurrection, when they witness the light of the hypocrites being extinguished. [Mujahid, Ad-Dahhak and Al-Hasan Al-Basri and others]
Explanation:
The Plain of Resurrection where all human beings are gathered on the Day of Qiyama will be pitch dark all around. Those who will be condemned to Hell, the disbelievers, the hypocrites and the wicked people, will be wandering about in the darkness, finding their way groping (by stretching their hands).
On that Day, the disbeliever will be told, "Do not offer any excuse this Day, because it will not be accepted from you; you will only be recompensed for what you used to do. Today, you will receive the punishment for your actions."
On this critical condition, hearing the wailings and groaning of those groping in the dark, the believers will be feeling terror stricken. In view of their sins and past mistakes they will be afraid that they too will be groping about like those people.
Therefore, they will pray: "O our Lord, forgive us our sins and let our light remain with us until we reach Paradise. They will implore Allah Almighty that their light be allowed to remain with them and kept from going out until they have crossed the bridge across Hell".
No good deed will be wasted on the Day of Qiyama. The believers faith and the piety will turn into light that will lend brightness to the personality of the virtuous.
The faces of Prophet [SAW] and his companions, and the believers glow with due to their strong faith and struggle on Allah's way.
They proceed ahead with their book of deeds carrying in their right hands and with the light emanating from Allah's countenance .
The brightness of their light depend on their deeds. the more luminous will be the person, and when he will walk towards Paradise, his light will be running forward before him. The Prophet (SAW) said: "The light of some one will be so strong and sharp that it will be running on before him equal to the distance between Al-Madinah and Aden, of another equal to the distance between Madinah and Sana, and of another even less than that; so much so that there will be a believer whose light will just extend beyond his steps. (Ibn Jarir).
In other words, the intensity of the light of a person will be proportionate to the extent of the good done by him in the world, and the beams of his light will be running on before him in the Hereafter extending as far as his good will have extended in the world.
But it entirely depends on Divine grace and favour as is mentioned in a Hadith which says: 'Your actions alone cannot salvage you.' The Companions inquired: '0 Messenger of Allah (SAW), not even you?' He replied: 'No, not even me unless the Divine grace and mercy covers me.' [ Bukhari and Muslim as quoted by Mazhari ]
"O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day [66:8] when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet [SAW] and those who believed with him.
Abu Dharr and Abu Darda have reported, saying that the Prophet (SAW) said: "I shall recognize the righteous people of my ummah by their light which will be running on before them and on their right and on their left". (Hakim and Ibn Abi Hatim)
Allah has informed in Quran:
"On the Day you shall see the believing men and the believing women their light running forward before them and by their right hands. Glad tidings for you this Day! Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever! Truly, this is the great success!" [57:12]
To attain this status we have to pray:
"O Allah! Please, do not disgrace me on the Day of Resurrection"
"Place light in my heart, light in my tongue, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light above me, light below me, light on my right, light on my left, light in front of me, light behind me, place light in my soul, and make light abundant for me."[Sahih Muslim,763]

7. Allah Subhanahuthala taught a supplication to Adam (AS) and his wife along with other things before he sent to earth. What is that supplication?
Answer:
"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." [7:23]
Explanation:
It is the first supplication mankind invokred to Allah Subhanahuthala.
Adam (AS) and his wife along with Shaithan were expelled from Paradise because they disobeyed the command of Allah.
Adam (AS) and his wife realized their mistake. Adam (AS) never blamed his wife and not even Shaithan for this mistake. They together repented with a supplication as mentioned in Quran as: "Adam received from his Lord [some] words" [2:37]. They invoked with those words whole heartedly. Allah accepted their repentance. He forgave them and made him a Prophet and from them the mankind was propagated.
Where as Shaithan never realised his disobediance and never repented for his mistake. Further he influenced Adam (AS) and his wife, to disobey the Allah's command. So he was cursed by Allah and remained as open enemy to mankind till the Day of Resurrection.
This dua is the best dua for mankind. Just like Adam (AS), his progeny was also greatly influenced by Shaithan. During such conditions, a man can say this dua of repentanc and forgiveness and get the Mercy of Allah. Allah Al Alim very well know the weaknesses and shortcomings of human beings and He is always Merciful!

6. Quran says that when a man attains maturity and reaches forty years he invokes a supplication. What is that supplication?
Answer:
"My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds, such as please You, and make my off-spring good. Truly, I have turned to You in repentance, and truly, I am one of the Muslims (submitting to Your Will)." [46:15].
Explanation:
It’s a prayer of gratitude, repentance and submission; invoking for doing the good deeds and for righteous offspring.
At the age of forty, man's strength meets wisdom. As he grow older, then his strength reduces and wisdom takes over. At the age of forty, with the lessons taught by worldy life and by experiences of various kinds he will obtain spiritual maturity. He can distinguish between good and bad, truth and falsehood. He turns to right guidance instead of deviation.
At this age a man will be most probably with the parents as well as with his offspring. He has to take the responsibility of both.
■ He start realizing how Allah has guided and favoured so far his parents and himself .
■ He also realizes how he deviated from the straight path by the attractive worldy life and by the influence of Shaithan.
■ So he wants to please Allah by doing good deeds as he comes to know by this time that evil deeds are erased by good deeds. So he likes to do many good deeds
■ He pray for the well being of his offspring.
■ His experiance in life teaches to repent for his sins.
■ He comes to know that nothing reaches him except by the Will of Allah.
■ So he fully submit himself to Allah.
Allah Subhanahuthala says in the next ayath:
"These are they from whom We accept the best of what they have done and pass over their evil deeds, among the dwellers of the garden; the promise of truth which they were promised" [46:16]
So from the age of forty a man has to be grateful to his parents and pray for them. Guide and pray for the well being of his offspring as well. Please his Creator by performing good deeds. Repent for his sins. Surrender fully to All Powerful. If he continue to lead a good life till his end Allahuthala has promised Jannah for him.
But for some, the age of responsibility is “sufficiently long” as in the verse 35:37. Despite a life-long chance, with continuous reminders from warners, the would be inhabitants of Hell have not learned a lesson.
They will scream therein, "Our Lord, if you get us out of here, we will work righteousness, instead of the works we used to do." Did we not give you a life-long chance, with continuous reminders for those who would take heed? Did you not receive the warner? Therefore, taste (the consequences). The transgressors will have no one to help them". [35:37]
So Allah says, "O you who believe, you shall repent to Allah a firm repentance. Your Lord will then remit your sins and admit you into gardens with flowing streams. [66:8]
It is to be noted that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) attained prophet hood at this age. Heused to spend long periods of time in deep reflection in the Hira mountains and received his first revelation at the age of forty. Ibn Kathir said in his Tafsir of the Qur’an, a man (or woman) attains forty years, his “complete intellect, understanding and patience reach the level of maturity.
So memorize this dua, supplicate and attain the pleasure of Allah and make a place in Jannah.

Whose prayer is this?
Answer:
Prayer of the disciples (Hawariun) of Isa ibn Marium (AS).
Explanation:
If a man, establishes salah, keeps his fast and performs all duties of a good Muslim, he is merely on the level of service and subjection to Allahuthala. The same man when he strives hard to spread religion and tries hard to reach zenith of his spirituality, he is honoured with the status of Allah's ally and helper. Isa ibn Marium (AS) had few such helpers called Hawariun.
Isa ibn Marium (AS) said to his people:
"And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allāh and obey me [3:50]
Indeed, Allāh is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him.That is the straight path.'" [3:51].
But when Isa ibn Marium (AS) felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he asked, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah?" The disciples said, "We are supporters for Allah. We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].
Then they are invoked to the Lord this supplication.

Explanation:
The last ten ayaath of Surah Aale Imran are powerful, offer timeless lessons, many reflections that a believer should make, significantly enhance the spiritual journey, profound guidance and deep wisdom.
Significance of the last ten ayaath of surah Aale - Imran:

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those who are understanding [3:190]
2. Remember, exalt and seek protection from Allah constantly:
Who remember Allāh while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire [3:191]
3. Hell is a place of disgrace:
Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers [3:192]
4. Staying committed to our faith:
Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (SAW)] calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die among the righteous [3:193]
5. Get the best reward which Allah had promised:
Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do? not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise"
[3:194]
6. Get the reward by struggling and suffering:
And their Lord responded to them, "Never will I allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another. So those who emigrated or were evicted from their homes or were harmed in My cause or fought or were killed - I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow as reward from Allāh, and Allāh has with Him the best reward." [3:195]
7. Do not be deceived by the act of disbelievers:
Be not deceived by the [uninhibited] movement of the disbelievers throughout the land. [3:196]
8. Worldly Life is transient:
[It is but] a small enjoyment; then their [final] refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.[3:197]
9. The eternal reward for the righteous is best:
But those who feared their Lord will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein, as accommodation from Allāh. And that which is with Allāh is best for the righteous [3:198].
10. Allāh is swift in account for those who recognize the Truth:
And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allāh and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allāh. They do not exchange the verses of Allāh for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allāh is swift in account [3:199]
11. Patience, perseverance, and piety brings success:
O you who have believed, persevere, endure, remain stationed and fear Allāh that you may be successful. [3:200]
Ibn Abbas (RA) said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) woke up after midnight and started wiping the sleep from his face with his hand. Then he recited the last ten verses of Surah Al ‘Imran, then he got up and did wudu (ablution) well, then he stood and prayed."
It is recommended to recite these verses first thing upon waking up or to recite before thahajoodh as this revives the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW).
